Most of the time, algae is deleted to pour rodi water quality. I don't even know if you use it, but if you don't, your gonna have bad algae problems until you do. If you use tap water or even prime or other tap water conditioners, it's not enough. The only thing that's will give you 0 tds is a good rodi unit. Phosguard guard and Gfo never helped me until I bought my own to unit.

Try running your lights less And GFO it helps me keep my tank with little to no algee. You need a strong clean up crew as well.

I also used a UV sterilizer to keep the algae down, that might help too

Usually it's about a snail or two per gallon, so I'd say about 15 snails
