Ns-80 reef octopus protein skimmer making a lot of microbubbles

I just recently got a protein skimmer and this one sounded okay. The instructions that came with it were horrible so I may have set it up wrong (I looked at the picture and matched it).
I have also heard that they need to be broken in which could be the solution. I tried putting it into a different tank that has nothing in it other than the water from my tank but bubbles still remain in my current tank. Any sort of movement such as a rock moving brings out a bunch of bubbles everywhere. Is there any way I can get rid of them? Not to mention one of my fish just died after noticing there were bubbles all over it. Any help will be appreciated, thanks

I do have a power head in my tank but I took the skimmer to my lfs and he said he would just order me a different one for free. (He's a nice guy) and this one I'll either just return if I can or sell it somewhere. I also don't really like how it sits inside my already pretty crowded tank since I don't have a sump just yet.
Thanks for your help

Also you may want to put in a power head or to for more water movement and to get ride of bubbles

You will have to adjust the skimmer and make sure it is put together correctly the bubbles should not be flowing threw the return end into tank I would go to reef octopus web site and make sure it is put together right.and yes some skimmers can take up to two weeks for break in

The bubbles are seeping into the main tank?
